The Concept
More than a marathon
Each edition is inspired by the work of a prominent Czech artist — a nice bonus and an incentive for those who want to learn more about Czech culture and heritage.
We gather in a breathtaking art nouveau venue, fill it with exceptional music, abundant food, and the company of dancers who travel from across the world for this weekend. The marathon is intentionally small — 220 participants maximum — so the dance floor breathes, the embrace is never rushed, and every tanda matters.
This is the 14th Winter Edition. Each one has been different. Each one has been the same: deep, unhurried, and entirely unforgettable.
Our HistoryThere is nothing more unbearable than to miss the person we loved, those sixteen bars of them, and the inner universe of their infinite possibilities.
The tango asks us to meet a stranger and, for three minutes, pretend we have always known each other. The Prague Tango Marathon asks you to spend a whole weekend inside that pretence.
